Formed in Derry in 1974, much of the earlier Undertones material drew influence from punk rock and new wave and included hits such as My Perfect Cousin, Jimmy Jimmy, Here Comes the Summer and Wednesday Week.
The subject of two documentaries, The Undertones’ debut album is included in Q Magazine’s 100 Greatest British albums of all time.
Four album releases followed earning The Undertones critical acclaim, before the band split in 1983.
Sixteen years later the release of `Get What You Need’ kicked off The Undertones comeback. Marking the bands 40th anniversary last year with scorching live performances throughout the UK and Europe, the reviews and the fans say the band are playing better than ever before.
