“My Ears Twinkle, My Nipples Hurt”
We’re poised to release our full line-up this week, starting with today’s announcement of the Friday night headliners plus the first wave of awesome acts on this year’s bill.
Get ready to kick off the festival weekend with classic rock and metal tracks as you’ve never heard them before, as brothers in farms, Finnish YouTube sensation Steve n Seagulls take to the main stage on Friday night. Their barn-rock mash up of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck has taken YouTube by storm with over 50 million views to date. Looe beach will never be the same again.
Joining Steve n Seagulls, LMF will also play host to the inimitable John Otway, the blues and American roots music of Martin Harley and Daniel Kimbro, Welsh indie-rock band Himalayas, singer songwriter Rhys Lewis, Irish performance poet Stephen James Smith, BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners The Young Uns and party purveyors Molotov Jukebox who promise a raucous finale at the harbour marquee on Sunday night.
Other performers ‘new to Looe’ this year: Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young, Gwenno, The Viewers, Baka Beyond, Simon James and the Deep River Pilots, Jill Jackson, Emily Capell, Tokyo Taboo, and Coco and the Butterfields.
Back by popular demand (the ones we just can’t keep away): Mad Dog Mcrea, The Correspondents, Bez (Happy Mondays) DJ Set, Uncle Frank, Gaz Brookfield and the Company of Thieves, and Wille and the Bandits.
Famous for our genre spanning line-ups, Looe Music Festival 2018 takes place 21st to 23rd September and promises to surprise and delight, as always.
More names will be announced tomorrow, with the Saturday and Sunday headliners released later in the week. If you only make it to one festival this year, make it to Looe Music Festival for a unique live music experience in a truly magical location. See you on the beach.
