Eddi Reader is the ‘perfect’ choice for Looe Music Festival

The recipient of three BRIT Awards, Eddi Reader famously harmonized with Annie Lennox whilst touring with the Eurythmics, but it was with the band Fairground Attraction that she achieved chart-topping album and single successes and caught the attention of a much wider audience.

“Eddi Reader is one of my favourite singers of all time,” Jools Holland

The Scottish singer-songwriter grew up in Glasgow and it was there that she learned to use music as a vehicle for engaging with others. She recorded the classic Songs of Robert Burns album which was released to international acclaim in 2003. Awarded the MBE for services to singing, she took her Burns songs on tour all over the world and found connections to the bard everywhere from Kolkata, India to Sydney, Australia.

“One of the great voices in British music,” Acoustic magazine

With an enduring solo career that sees her touring constantly all over the world, Eddi has just released a double album showcasing thirty of her most beautiful, deeply personal and intimate songs. The Best of Eddi Reader, was released on 14th March 2016 on Reveal Records. The first career-spanning compilation by the supremely talented, unique and charismatic singer.
