The Jesus and Mary Chain headline Looe Music Festival – their only South West date of 2017

The Jesus and Mary Chain are coming to Cornwall as the first headliner for Looe Music Festival 2017, kick-starting their autumn tour on the beach.

Following the announcement that their first new album in almost two decades is set for release in March 2017, their live tour is one of the most anticipated music events of next year.

Thirty years on from their acclaimed debut album ‘Pyschocandy’, and fuelled by the buzz that surrounded the 30th anniversary live shows, Scottish brothers Jim and William Reid have come full circle: they’re back with Creation Management and are eager to get their new material on the road.

Iconic tracks, ‘April Skies’, ‘Happy When it Rains’, ‘Head On’ and ‘Cracking Up’ cemented their influence on musical culture in the 80s. With songs ‘Just Like Honey’, ‘Taste of Cindy’ and ‘Snakedriver’ continuing their popularity over the next decades as they were used in the films ‘Lost in Translation’, ‘Adventureland’ and ‘The Crow’.

The only South West date on the tour, The Jesus and Mary Chain’s headline slot at Looe Music Festival will give fans a rare opportunity to see the band on stage and a first taste of their highly anticipated new material live.

Weekend tickets are available to purchase now with a limited day release for The Jesus and Mary Chain’s headline set going on sale at 9am on Wednesday 14th December 2016.
