English rock band Reverend and the Makers burst onto the scene in the early noughties with their debut single ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’.
Fronted by the outspoken Jon McClure aka ‘The Reverend’ the band fuse together indie rock melodies and attitudes with dance rhythms and electronica. Gigs were described as full on parties and festival sets as unbelievable.
Four studio albums, supporting Oasis on their final tour playing stadiums such as Wembley and going on the road with Arctic Monkeys as their opening act, all followed.
Their latest album, ‘Mirrors’ released in 2015 received critical acclaim from the likes of NME and Noel Gallagher for being the Makers best material to date.
So, if you’re not already part of the ‘rev army’ be prepared to be recruited. Reverend and the Makers join the party on Friday.
