Something to ‘Shout’ about – Lulu headlines LMF17

Pop icon Lulu joins the bill as Saturday night’s headliner at Looe Music Festival before heading off on her biggest tour to date.

Showcasing an evening packed full of her hits, new tracks and songs that have influenced her throughout her incredible career, Lulu tells us it’s going to be a night “all about the music”.

Lulu first burst onto the scene in the sixties, with the mega, definitive and enduring ‘Shout’ that made her name synonymous with rock and blues. Since then, she has topped the charts in every decade, working over the years with some of the greatest talents of our time – from Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and The Beatles to Elton John, David Bowie and Paul McCartney.

Iconic tracks include ‘The Man Who Sold the World’, ‘The Boat That I Row’ and ‘To Sir With Love’. As well as featuring on Take That 90s classic ‘Relight My Fire’. More recently the Grammy and Ivor Novello award nominee has joined Gary Barlow as a judge on the BBC One show ‘Let it Shine’.

Showing no signs of slowing down Lulu marked 50 years at Decca Records with the release of her latest album ‘Making Life Rhyme’ in 2015 and last year her 2016 tour received critical acclaim.

Joining Lulu in Cornwall is rock band and fellow Scots, The Jesus and Mary Chain who are headlining Friday night at Looe Music Festival.

Weekend tickets are available to purchase now with a limited day release for Lulu’s headline set going on sale at 10am on Wednesday 8th February 2017.
