“Let’s get naked!” London International Ska-fest favourites Buster Shuffle promise piano-bashing Cockney mayhem
Buster Shuffle are one of those rare musical delights, truly a one-off. Brilliantly catchy songs with shades of great Britpop acts like Blur and Supergrass, along with the effortlessly charming ska pop of Madness, but it’s Buster Shuffle’s on-stage charm that steals the show.
‘You’ll enjoy this knees-up bar-room stomp’ The Guardian
Already a big deal with a dedicated following on the European circuit, Buster Shuffle built their reputation touring the UK with the likes of The Holloways, The Wombats, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and Chas ‘n’ Dave, before signing to EMI offshoot People Like You. Since then, they’ve completed UK support tours with Madness, The Blockheads, The Rifles and Shed Seven. A series of Fred Perry subculture gigs have further enhanced the band’s burgeoning reputation.
‘Piano-bashing Cockney mayhem’ The Times
As frontman Jet Baker puts it; “We love big pop tunes, we love ska, we love great indie guitar music and all the rock and roll pioneers like Chuck Berry … and we love entertaining people.”
‘Take my word for it, they’re rocking’ The Sun
So if Bryan Ferry isn’t your thing you’ll be able to ‘get naked’ with Buster Shuffle at the Harbour Marquee on Saturday night at Looe Music Festival. More names still to be released.
