Proper job! Cornwall’s own brewers, St Austell Brewery, becomes Looe Music Festival’s main stage sponsor for 2016
At LMF we’re celebrating with a Korev or two following the announcement that St Austell Brewery is the event’s main sponsor for 2016.
The award-winning, family owned Cornish brewing and pub company is 100% independent and a leading light in Britain’s beer and pub industry. Already keen supporters of performing arts and live music in the region, this will be St Austell Brewery’s first headline spot at Cornwall’s second largest music festival.
St Austell Brewery’s Korev, Proper Job and Tribute beer brands will all make an appearance at the annual event, held in Looe in September, alongside headliners Bryan Ferry, Wilko Johnson and Fun Lovin’ Criminals and 90 other superb performers.
Jeremy Mitchell, Marketing and Communications Director at St Austell Brewery, said: “We are great admirers of Looe Music Festival so are delighted to have been chosen as the headline sponsor, and to be bringing our own Cornish beer brands and Cornish cider to the festival. We are looking forward to working with the event organisers to help make 2016 the best festival yet.”
Looe Music Festival, Event Director, Tanya Brittain says: “For the past two years we’ve used the strapline “Agas gweles war an treth” which means “see you on the beach” in Cornish. We’re passionate about reinforcing Cornishness, working with Cornwall-based businesses and raising awareness of the Cornish language. We’re therefore delighted to be able to name our main stage the Korev® stage this year as Korev is the Cornish language word for beer, and one of St Austell Brewery’s award winning brands.”
